National Park The Sallandse Heuvelrug between Hellendoorn and Holten is one of the largest contiguous dry heathlands in Europe.

Did you know that the MTB Route Hellendoorn-Nijverdal has won the public award "The Golden Shovel 2022"? This is the most prestigious recognition for the best MTB Trail based on maintenance and riding experience! And from our park you can follow this trail! Besides the Hellendoorn-Nijverdal route you can also follow the Hellendoorn route. Both routes are signposted and can also be ridden as one big route since they cross each other.
